The Mind, Heart and Creative Spirit of The Jennagerie

"Jennifer Dawn Vest-Anderson-Meuth (Jenn Meuth) is a native Texan and has been creating paintings and drawings regularly since 2005. Jenn has a creative way of reflecting the world around her through abstract interpretation as well as whimsy and character depictions of both fantasy and real life. Through her series titled: the Fat Fairies, Jenn found her inner voice as she struggled with body acceptance after people in her past had influenced her to feel badly about her positive self image. Many of Jenn’s drawings and paintings reflect a powerful woman’s voice, and the proud acceptance of her own womanhood and sexuality, which is something she hopes other women can take inspiration from and use it to get over painful pasts or defeated self images. Other of her works are themed drawings, or elements of imagination inspired by her own surroundings.  Wanting to share her voice with the world, The Jennagerie was born.

Through her work, Jenn hopes to give back to the community as 10% of all her proceeds go to Austin Fairy Godmother, located in Leander Texas. Fairy Godmother supports the same message in that they help women and girls with body image issues feel they have worth by helping them with special formal events they might not otherwise be able to attend. They also have mentorhips, and workshops that help young at risk teen girls find positive self acceptance and over come obstacles that might challenge that.

She has had her work premiered at 'Human Emotion': a collaboration of both Dance and art presented by Borealis Dance (2009), donated original paintings/drawings to The Flip Flop to Nigeria Campaign founded by Miss Plus America Elite, Spruce Dickerson (2012 & 2013), was also a featured artist vendor at The Art Under The Stars Expo at Golden Bones Salon (September/November 2013) and at Pancakes and Booze, Austin (December 2013). Finally Jenn has become a RAW artist and has been in their Showcase titled 'Awakenings' (February 2014).

All of Jenn's creations are  made with a nod to the enivironment as most of her canvases were repurchased and recylced. Her hand crafts are also made from repurchased and repurposed materials. She utilizes Spoonflower; who produce the fabrics, decals, wallpaper and giftwrap that features her original art using water based ink techniques and Organic cottons.

All of her current works are for sale, just follow the links to The Jennagerie store fronts on her "contact" page. Jenn is always looking for not only fans of her work, but sponsorships so that she may continue in giving women and young girls a positive, empowered voice. She accepts monetary and supply donations. Feel free to contact her anytime!
